Pierce had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Paradise on Thursday. The Bears put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pierce was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-7, 25-10.

Charlie Wayman paced Pierce's offense, picking up 11 kills. Wayman got some help from Leah Charter and her 20 assists. Magali Jauregui controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Pierce has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. As for Paradise, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-18.
