Softball Recap: Forrest County Agricultural Comes Up Short

Forrest County Agricultural managed to slip by Sacred Heart the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Forrest County Agricultural came up short against Sacred Heart on Friday, falling 12-2. The Aggies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Forrest County Agricultural saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mallory Boyte, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits Boyte has posted since back in February.

Forrest County Agricultural has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. The victory was the fifth in a row for Sacred Heart, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Forrest County Agricultural will challenge Columbia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sacred Heart, they will welcome Salem at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
