Barr-Reeve dropped their record down to 4-3 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Heritage Hills Patriots by a score of 10-9. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

As for Heritage Hills, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

For Heritage Hills' part, Hadley Leibering was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one double while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave Leibering a new career-high. Haley Fisher was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barr-Reeve will head out to face off against North Daviess at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Heritage Hills, they will venture away from home to square off against Pike Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
