Tanner Sarchet leads a balanced attack to beat Front Range Christian

Recap: Union Colony Prep Timberwolves vs. Front Range Christian Falcons

After losing to the Front Range Christian Falcons the last time they met, the Union Colony Prep Timberwolves decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Union Colony Prep walked away with a 58-51 victory over Front Range Christian on Monday.

Union Colony Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Sarchet, who scored 17 points along with seven steals. Sarchet has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Rodriguez, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zach Woo, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Woo has scored all season. Cooper Terpstra was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.

Union Colony Prep's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Front Range Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.

Union Colony Prep will head out on the road to face off against Nederland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Nederland is ranked 329th, while Union Colony Prep is ranked 315th). As for Front Range Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lyons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lyons' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
