Football Recap: Bleckley County Skates Past Academy for Classical Education with Ease + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dublin, Bleckley County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons 48-9. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won five contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Brody Fleming, who threw for 272 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 100 yards on only five carries. Those 100 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Fleming's aerial production (119 yards to be exact) went to Gage Harris.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bleckley County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Bleckley County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kelvin Sneed Jr and Jireh Campbell. Campbell also made nine total tackles, which is notable because Bleckley County is undefeated when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.

Bleckley County's record is now 7-2. As for Academy for Classical Education, they dropped their record down to 5-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Bleckley County will welcome Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Royals will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.22 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will venture away from home to take on Washington County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
