Baseball Recap: Omaha South Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Omaha South's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs on Thursday. The Packers haven't had much luck with the Monarchs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Omaha South saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Williams, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Omaha South's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Papillion-LaVista, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Omaha South will face off against rival Bellevue East at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Papillion-LaVista is set to take on their familiar foe Lincoln East on Monday.
