Softball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View lost against Edgewood back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 6-5. The Spartans just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Reese Riley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Shell, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Valley View's record now sits at 2-4. As for Edgewood, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley View will host Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans are facing the Mohawks at the right time seeing as the Mohawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Edgewood, they will be playing at home against Bellbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
