Softball Recap: North Union's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

North Union has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 19-5 to the Newell-Fonda Mustangs. The Warriors have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Union fell to 5-1. As for Newell-Fonda, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

North Union wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-4 victory against Sioux Central on the 7th. As for Newell-Fonda, they will challenge Emmetsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the E'Hawks at the right time seeing as the E'Hawks are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
