Hixson barely beat Red Bank the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Hixson walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-15.
Defeat or not, Red Bank got some senior leadership from Brooklyn Smith and Kenadi Baughman. Smith had 13 digs and five kills, while Baughman had eight digs and eight assists.
Hixson's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Red Bank, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Looking ahead, Hixson will head out on the road to face off against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Red Bank does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
