Basketball Recap: Fort Thomas Apaches vs. Dishchii'bikoh Wildcats

In what's become a running theme this season, the Fort Thomas Apaches gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on Dishchii'bikoh with a sharp 58-32 victory. The victory was nothing new for Fort Thomas as they're now sitting on six straight.

Fort Thomas found their leader in underclassman Raeleigh Hawkins, who scored 19 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hawkins has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Adaia Lorenzo, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Fort Thomas pushed their record up to 21-9 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Dishchii'bikoh, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Fort Thomas will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lobos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Patagonia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Apaches are ranked 102nd). Dishchii'bikoh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
