Baseball Recap: American Heritage Patriots vs. Valley Buffalos
American Heritage lost against Valley last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The American Heritage Patriots took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Buffalos. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Luke Stratton and Joe Holmes stepped up to the plate in a big way. Stratton scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Holmes scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Matthew Brady also deserves some recognition as he hit his first hit of the season.
American Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Valley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
American Heritage will stay at home for another game and welcome Merit Preparatory Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. American Heritage is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Valley, they will face off against Piute at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Piute will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
