Halstead put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Larned Indians a 10-0 shutout. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Kaci Young was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last five contests. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles were her first of the season.

In other batting news, Thea Boese was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Daynica Euwer, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.

Halstead's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Larned, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Halstead beat the Indians by a score of 7-2 later that day.
