Volleyball Recap: HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots vs. Quad Cities Christian Eagles
HomeSchool Resource Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Quad Cities Christian Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
While HomeSchool Resource Center had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20.
Quad Cities Christian can attribute much of their success to Zeke Lizano, who had 12 digs and two aces. Lizano has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 21 times he's played.
HomeSchool Resource Center's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Quad Cities Christian, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
As of now, neither HomeSchool Resource Center nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
