Soccer Recap: St. Mark's Comes Up Short

St. Mark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belmont Hill Sextants. While losing is never fun, St. Mark's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Belmont Hill are ranked tenth).

St. Mark's loss dropped their record down to 3-12-2. As for Belmont Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Mark's will square off against rival Groton School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Belmont Hill is set to take on their familiar foe Governor's Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
