Basketball Recap: College Prep of America Takes a Loss

College Prep of America and Harvest Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but College Prep of America had to settle for second. They lost 73-52 to the Harvest Christian Academy Lions. The Thunder were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-18.

Harvest Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Bell led the charge by dropping a double-double with 19 points and 13 assists. Bell is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Zander Langfeld was another key player, going 10-for-13 to rack up 23 points and six rebounds.

The defeat snapped College Prep of America's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-17 record. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.3 points over those games. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they moved to 13-19 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

As of now, neither College Prep of America nor Harvest Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
