Softball Recap: Aransas Pass' Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak at Home

Aransas Pass had lost ten games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 7-14-1 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the West Oso Bears. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-3 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Alyze Garza, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Karla Casas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

As for West Oso, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-21. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On West Oso's side, Heaven Pena was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabella Martinez, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases.

As of now, neither Aransas Pass nor West Oso have any future games scheduled.
