Baseball Recap: Flint Hill Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Flint Hill barely beat Saint James the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies' pitcher stepped up to hand the Saints an 11-0 shutout on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won nine in a row.

Michael Morgan looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sebastian Gratacos was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Logan Lucca, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Flint Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saint James only posted a batting average of .062.

Flint Hill's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Saint James, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Flint Hill will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Saints: the pair will be back at it again later today.
