Soccer Game Recap: Lee Williams vs. Thunderbird

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Lee Williams Volunteers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Titans. The win was familiar territory for Lee Williams who now have three in a row.

They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of Allison Wilcox and Sophia Fottrell, who scored all three of Lee Williams' goals. The pair have combined for a total of 36 so far this season.

Lee Williams' win bumped their record up to 11-6-1. As for Thunderbird, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Lee Williams will head out on the road to face off against Seton Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Arizona (Seton Catholic is ranked 37th, while Lee Williams is ranked 44th). Thunderbird does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
