Basketball Recap: Rocky Mountain Gets the Win

After losing to Cokeville the last time they met, Rocky Mountain decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies secured a 36-32 W over the Cokeville Panthers on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.

Lauren Bassett continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 11 on her way to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Wambeke, who posted eight points.

Rocky Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Cokeville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Rocky Mountain will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Powell at 4:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Cokeville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-48 victory against Upton on the 21st.
