Basketball Recap: Wellington-Napoleon Has No Trouble Against Kingsville

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Wellington-Napoleon enjoyed a cozy 47-30 win over Kingsville. For Wellington-Napoleon, this counts as revenge for the 36-33 victory Kingsville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Wellington-Napoleon found their leader in sophomore Ayden Ellensohn, who shot 55% from the field en route to 15 points along with eight boards and five steals. Anniston Hampton was another key player, putting up ten points.

Wellington-Napoleon has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Kingsville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Wellington-Napoleon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-39 win against Concordia on the 8th. As for Kingsville, they have also already played their next contest, a 59-22 defeat against Lakeland on the 8th.
