Itasca had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Venus Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Wampus Cats, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Brayden Daniel was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Mears, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Itasca's record is now 19-6. As for Venus, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.

Itasca wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 7-3 win against Carter-Riverside on the 24th. Venus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
