Basketball Recap: Jackson Heights Takes a Loss

Jackson Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones. The Cobras lost against the Cyclones in their previous head to head back in March of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 53-22 score last time.

Jackson Heights' loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson Heights will take on Pleasant Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], they will host Jefferson County North on Friday.
