Baseball Recap: Sugar Valley Rural Takes a Loss

Sugar Valley Rural was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 10-6 to the East Juniata Tigers. The Phoenix were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Sugar Valley Rural's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for East Juniata, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sugar Valley Rural will welcome Muncy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Juniata, a feisty cat fight will be fought as East Juniata Tigers face off against Halifax Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Their pitchers better be ready for this one: Halifax has averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
