Volleyball Recap: Ursuline Fighting Irish vs. Boardman Spartans
After flying high against Cardinal Mooney last Thursday, Ursuline came back down to earth. The Ursuline Fighting Irish lost 3-0 to the Boardman Spartans on Thursday. The Fighting Irish have struggled against the Spartans recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10, 25-15.
Boardman was led to victory by Sadie Satterfield and Gianna Commons. Satterfield had ten digs and two aces, while Commons had four aces. That's the most aces Commons has posted since back in September.
Ursuline's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-13. As for Boardman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.
