Basketball Recap: Union Area's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Union Area extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Lucas Stanley. The Union Area Scotties breezed by the Western Beaver Golden Beavers to the tune of 58-31 on Tuesday thanks in part to Stanley, who went 12 for 21 on his way to 30 points and four steals. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Union Area pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Western Beaver, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Union Area won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mohawk Area at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Union Area is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.1 points per game this season. As for Western Beaver, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Side at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
