Melba came out on top against Glenns Ferry on Thursday thanks in part to Mike Lester's efforts. Lester scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, which was good enough to set a new career-high in stolen bases.

Looking ahead, Lester and Melba will host Cole Valley Christian at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs had to take a loss when they last met the Chargers, but Lester had little to do with the loss: he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits.
