Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Castleberry walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lake Dallas Falcons a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. Give Castleberry's defense some credit: that's the team's ninth straight shutout.

Ethan Padilla and Gerardo Garcia scored both of Castleberry's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Castleberry is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-1-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 62 goals over those 17 games. As for Lake Dallas, they moved to 18-5-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Castleberry will face off against Community at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Community will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Castleberry surely won't give up without a fight. Lake Dallas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
