Volleyball Recap: Willow Canyon Makes It Five in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Willow Canyon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Verrado Vipers by a score of 3-1 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in March.

While Willow Canyon might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Verrado scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 23-25, 29-27.

Jackson Blair paced Willow Canyon's offense, picking up 17 kills. Blair got some help from Dyllan Farnsworth and his 43 assists. Rylan Hayes controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Willow Canyon pushed their record up to 25-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Verrado, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-10.

Coming up, Willow Canyon will take on Cienega at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Verrado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
