Softball Recap: Elko Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Churchill County

Elko faced Churchill County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Indians came up short against the Greenwave, falling 10-0. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Greenwave recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Elko's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Churchill County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-7.

Coincidentally, Elko and Churchill County will both be playing Lowry the next time they take the field. The Indians will head out to face the Buckaroos at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Greenwave will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
