Volleyball Game Preview: Legacy Longhorns vs. Basic Wolves + How To Watch

The Legacy Longhorns will head out on the road to square off against the Basic Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Legacy will be strutting in after a victory while Basic will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, Legacy earned a 3-1 win over Mojave. The Longhorns haven't had any issues with the Rattlers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Legacy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 29-31, 25-18, 26-24.

Adrienne Coates and Arial Fox were among the main playmakers for Legacy as the former had 13 digs and three aces and the latter had nine kills, eight digs, three aces, and one block. Fox is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Miy'Aja Diggs also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Legacy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Basic came up short against Green Valley on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Basic took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 27-25.

Basic's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Legacy, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
