When it comes to explaining why Edgewater lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaylan Sammy . Despite the final result, he went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 0 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Taylor, who scored 11 points.
Mateen Rafiq continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Weston Ranch, going 8 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 3 assists. The matchup was Rafiq's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Shaanveer Natt was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Edgewater's defeat dropped their record down to 10-1. As for Weston Ranch, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
