Baseball Recap: Mammoth Sets Scoring Season-High Against Desert

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mammoth). They were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over the Desert Scorpions on Tuesday. The Huskies not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29, 2024.

Mammoth let Martin Walker and Tommy Lackey run wild. Walker scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5, while Lackey scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave Walker a new career-high. Mercer Voorhees was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Mammoth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .683. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mammoth's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Desert, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
