Great Mills lost to St. Charles back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Hornets blew past St. Charles 13-3. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by exactly ten runs.

Megan Cromwell was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Olivia Quinn was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

The victory made it two in a row for Great Mills and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for St. Charles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Great Mills will welcome Patuxent at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for St. Charles, they will face off against Lackey on Monday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.4 runs per game on average), something St. Charles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
