Softball Recap: Silverado Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Silverado had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Victor Valley Jackrabbits. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 11-7 victory on Tuesday.

Alexis Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Victoria Patino and Valerie Beltran did most of the damage at the plate: Patino went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Beltran went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Alex Valdez, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Silverado now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Victor Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-20 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Silverado nor the Jackrabbits have any future games scheduled.
