Basketball Recap: AGWSR Comes Up Short

AGWSR was the 55-50 winner over Belmond-Klemme when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The AGWSR Cougars received a blow on Thursday as they fell 60-41 to the Belmond-Klemme Broncos. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Broncos are ranked 128th).

AGWSR dropped their record down to 5-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Belmond-Klemme, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.

AGWSR has already played their next matchup (against Columbus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Belmond-Klemme has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against North Iowa.
