Baseball Recap: Deep Run Takes a Loss

Deep Run suffered their biggest loss since April 12, 2024 on Monday. They lost 9-1 to the Cosby Titans. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Wildcats' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Deep Run saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Saunders, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Saunders has hit this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Deep Run and nudges their season record down to 9-4. As for Cosby, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1.

Looking ahead, Deep Run will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against J.R. Tucker at 6:00 p.m. As for Cosby, they are taking a road trip to face off against Clover Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Cavaliers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
