Basketball Game Preview: Corinth Warriors vs. New Hope Trojans

The Corinth Warriors will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the New Hope Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Corinth will be strutting in after a win while New Hope will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row dating back to last season, Corinth finally turned things around against Byhalia on Friday. They snuck past the Indians with a 54-48 victory.

Meanwhile, New Hope lost 62-42 to Booneville on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Blue Devils are ranked fourth).

New Hope's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Corinth, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Corinth came up short against New Hope in their previous meeting back in January, falling 60-50. Can Corinth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
