Football Recap: Paris Skates Past Aubrey with Ease

There's no place like home for Paris, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They really took it to the Aubrey Chaparrals for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-17 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won three contests by 27 points or more so far this season.

Tyler Heath was his usual excellent self, throwing for 280 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 62 yards and one score. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Paris' victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.6 points over those games. As for Aubrey, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Paris has already played their next matchup, a 38-35 defeat against Sulphur Springs on the 17th. As for Aubrey, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 49-7 victory against Community on the 17th.
