Football Recap: Dietrich Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Dietrich's offense. They were dealt a 52-0 defeat at the hands of the Carey Panthers on Friday. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Stockton Sears continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carey, rushing for 175 yards and a pair of scores, while also picking up 36 receiving yards and one touchdown. Sears' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 136 rushing yards. Madden Perkes was another key player, gaining 106 total yards and two touchdowns.

Dietrich's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Carey, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Coincidentally, Dietrich and Carey will both be playing Shoshone the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Blue Devils will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
