Football Game Preview: Lubbock Westerners vs. Coronado Mustangs + How To Watch

Lubbock hasn't had much luck against Coronado recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Westerners will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lubbock is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Amarillo on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Westerners were beaten by the Sandies 58-13. The Westerners were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-6.

Meanwhile, Coronado had to suffer through a 79-6 loss at the hands of Amarillo. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 787th, while the Sandies are ranked 156th).

Lubbock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Coronado, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
