Baseball Game Preview: Keys Gate Knights vs. Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack

The Keys Gate Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Keys Gate's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Dade Christian by a score of 5-0.

Keys Gate got a great performance from Anthony Hernandez as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, Keys Gate saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesus Salazar, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Juan Pablo Casteneda also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Keys Gate hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.

Schoolhouse Prep came out on top against Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run third inning. The Wolfpack were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Stallions. The Wolfpack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Schoolhouse Prep's record is now 6-4. As for Keys Gate, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Keys Gate suffered a grim 21-5 defeat to Schoolhouse Prep when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
