Softball Recap: Burr Oak Bobcats vs. Climax-Scotts Panthers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mendon, Burr Oak was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Climax-Scotts Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Brooklynn Root was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Burr Oak let Braylyn Hernandez and Elaine Holtom run wild. Hernandez got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base, while Holtom went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
