Basketball Recap: Andover Central Comes Up Short

Andover Central lost against Andover back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Andover Central Jaguars had to suffer through a 67-27 loss at the hands of the Andover Trojans. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-16.

Leading Andover to victory were Bella Bouddhara and Aliyah Green. Bouddhara went 9-for-13 en route to 20 points and three steals, while Green dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Green is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 54% in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Katie Evans, who posted eight points.

Andover Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Andover, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars duke it out with the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andover, they will be playing at home against Arkansas City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Andover's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
