It was a good run, but Mayflower unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to the Perryville Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-65 back in December of 2024.

Mayflower's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Perryville, they moved to 8-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mayflower will host Dover at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Dover will roll in looking for their 25th straight victory, something Mayflower surely won't give up without a fight. As for Perryville, they will face off against Two Rivers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
