Basketball Recap: Teague Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Teague duked it out withScurry-Rosser on Thursday. The Teague Lions were dealt a 59-22 defeat at the hands of the Scurry-Rosser Wildcats. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Teague lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brayden Leija, who posted four points.

Teague's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Scurry-Rosser, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Teague will have a chance to keep the ball rolling against A Plus Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Friday following yesterday's win. Teague is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Scurry-Rosser, they and Elkhart will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
