Soccer Recap: Channelview Takes a Loss

Channelview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 699th, while the Patriots are ranked 163rd).

Channelview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Goose Creek Memorial, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Channelview take on the Atascocita at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Atascocita's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Channelview's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Goose Creek Memorial, they will be playing at home against Humble at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
