Volleyball Recap: Corinth Holders Comes Up Short

Corinth Holders lost against Wake Prep Academy back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pirates fell just short of the Guardians by a score of 3-2. While the Pirates didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Guardians 25-20 in the first set.

Corinth Holders actually scored more points across those five sets (105-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 19-25, 15-13.

Corinth Holders' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wake Prep Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corinth Holders is headed away from home for the first time to take on Clayton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wake Prep Academy, they will square off against South Granville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
