Brookside won the last time they faced Oberlin and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Phoenix with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Brookside was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-21.

Violet Schremp paced Brookside's offense, picking up 11 kills. Schremp got some help from Sydney Adkins and her 24 assists. Schremp was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

The win got Brookside back to even at 4-4. As for Oberlin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Brookside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Wellington on the 9th. As for Oberlin, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Lorain on the 6th.
