Basketball Recap: Pecos Piles Up the Points Against Estancia

Pecos won the last time they faced Estancia and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pecos Panthers breezed by the Estancia Bears to the tune of 68-39. That looming 68-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Defeat or not, Estancia got some senior leadership from Olavio Hernandez and Justin Rubio. Hernandez went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points, while Rubio almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Hernandez a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Luis Perea, who posted four points.
