Softball Recap: Godwin Eagles vs. Glen Allen Jaguars
Godwin faced Glen Allen in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Eagles never let the Jaguars get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won five in a row.
Katelyn Hubley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Carter Dunham and Adelynn Collins did most of the damage at the plate: Dunham went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Collins went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
